                               RESOLUTION NO. 19268
                  
                  
                   A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ATTORNEY
                   TO ACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY BEFORE THE
                   TENNESSEE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND
                   CONSERVATION'S DIVISION OF SOLID WASTE
                   MANAGEMENT RELATIVE TO A PERMIT APPLICATION
                   FOR A PROPOSED COMMERCIAL HAZARDOUS WASTE
                   MANAGEMENT FACILITY LOCATED AT 3300 CUMMINGS
                   ROAD, CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE. 
                  
                  
                                                    
                  
                  
      
       	    	 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
       THE CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That the City Attorney or his 

       designee be and is hereby authorized to act on behalf of the City 

       and to file such written comments as he may deem advisable and to 

       otherwise participate in the administrative process before the 
the
       Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation's Division 
of
       Solid Waste Management relative to a permit application by 
Laidlaw
       Environmental Services of Chattanooga, Inc. for a proposed
       commercial hazardous waste management facility located at 3300
       Cummings Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee.
